What Is Bioneers?

The Bioneers is a national, non-profit educational organization that highlights breakthrough solutions for restoring people and the planet. Bioneers has two keystone goals:
- Connect people with solutions by popularizing breakthrough ideas and practices.
- Grow social capital by catalyzing, connecting and strengthening strategic networks, including bioregional and community-based alliances.
About the Houston chapter of Bioneers
2012 marks the 9th annual local Bioneers conference to be held in Houston during November. Each year, Houston and other locally-based innovators talk at the conference about issues related to the four pillars of the Bioneers — environment, health, spirit, and social justice – and cutting edge ideas related to them. As in past years, the Blackwood Educational Land Institute is the lead organizer and sponsor of the local Houston conference.
